Business Spotlight: 13 Graduates Changing the Future
FAU Tech Runway Honors Next Venture Class
More than 100 people gathered at FAU Tech Runway recently to celebrate the graduation of venture class 10 companies.
“We are immensely proud of our Venture Class 10 graduates for their hard work and dedication throughout the program,” said Jessica Beaver, associate director of FAU Tech Runway. “This graduation was a well-deserved celebration of the incredible strides they've made over the course of the program cycle. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and success as they continue their entrepreneurial journey.”
The celebration included a pitch competition, with companies Shipglide Inc., Owwll, and Kinstak Technologies earned the first, second and third place respectively, including cash prizes of $5,000, $3,000 and $1,500.
In addition, FAU Tech Runway honored six business mentors, including Scott Barlass, Kevin Cox, Ed Gargano, Richard Herbert, Carol Miller and Tyler Quinn, with an Excellence in Mentoring award for their continued dedication and commitment to the program and venture companies.

365Learn — all-in-one learning management system designed for the modern-day classroom
aDubb — web application with proprietary technologies and state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) models capable of providing near-instant, real-time on-demand translation and dubbing of video/audio content into multiple languages
Alberti Revolutionary Creations (ARC) — develops ActiveBrace or connected wearables for increasing human performance to reduce worker injury and turnover, mitigate athletic injury and improve recreational quality of life
Best Candidate — nonpartisan voter education toolbox
Emergency App — builds citizen mobile apps that partner with governments to save lives in natural disasters
Cartminute — smart cart solutions company
EV Tech International Inc. — electric vehicle drivetrain trade school
FearlessMind — founded with the aim to help people experiencing stress, fears and anxiety through a user-friendly mobile app, delivering a personalized mental health and wellness, step-by-step program
Flo-Ops — integrates students’ social and academic lives into one platform in order to improve outcomes and engagement.
Owwll — social networking platform that connects people instantly through private one-on-one audio calls
The Brack Institute — registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports socioeconomically disadvantaged students applying for college
Shipglide — enhanced Air lubrication systems, reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions by more than 10%
Kinstak Technologies — searchable, intelligently-organized, private cloud storage for military members and their families
FAU Tech Runway is a public-private partnership formed to incubate and accelerate early-stage technology-based companies, under the purview of FAU’s Division of Research.
