Bridging the Gap
Building Connections for Communities
Florida Atlantic University is one of only a few universities bridging the gap between civil engineering students and global communities, through the university’s Bridge Program in the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
Six engineering students, Alejandra Vega, Tyler Owen, Claudia P. Diaz Romero, Andrew Gates and Evan Cabrera, recently visited Nkhaba Inkhundla in the Kingdom of Eswatini, Africa, to help construct the Kabodali suspended footbridge, connecting rural communities to essential commercial centers fostering growth and accessibility.
